The Organisation

Formed in 2012 and wholly owned by Birmingham City Council, Acivico Limited has now set on a new direction for the business.  The company has undergone significant transformation since April 2018 with the formation of new corporate structures, significant investment in ICT infrastructure and replacement of all line of business applications.   Acivico Limited also holds a minority Shareholding in a newly established company that will compete in the open market.

The Opportunity

The Board of Directors, with the Leadership Team and the City Council have been working

together to develop the new operating model that will work towards delivering our strategic aspirations for our services and products across a diverse market.

With so many opportunities open to us, we are moving forward at pace and looking for a new non-executive director with relevant industry experience to join us. Our culture is one of high performance, energy and a determination to deliver the best possible outcomes for our clients.

We are looking for senior strategic leaders from construction, property and facilities management backgrounds who have an awareness of the challenges and opportunities within the public and private sectors, and share similar values and behaviours, to complement the Board and help us deliver our ambitious growth plans over the next three years.

The Role

We are interested in hearing from candidates who have extensive commercial acumen who will bring an impressive professional career track record in one of the related sectors. Having progressed to board or senior executive level, delivering notable outcomes in complex and multi-stakeholder environments, you’ll share our passion to deliver upon the expectations of our Shareholder, and provide demonstrable value-for-money solutions for our customers and partners and be as excited about our considerable potential as we are.

These roles are likely to require a time commitment of around 1 to 2 days per month plus attendance at strategic planning meeting and Board events. The remuneration for Board roles will be on a day rate basis, plus any expenses incurred on company business will be reimbursed in line with our NED remuneration policy.
