It’s ‘high five’ and high tea for ‘team of the year’ nominees – the Acivico Building Inspectors…

On Monday, members of the Acivico Building consultancy inspections team got suited and booted to join Birmingham City Council Deputy leader for a spot of high tea at beautiful ancestral home of the Chamberlain family - Highbury Hall in Moseley.

The gathering was being hosted by Cllr Ian Ward as part the Birmingham City Council Chamberlain Awards recognition activities to offer thanks and appreciation to teams and individuals across the city who have delivered excellent services to members of the public. Our star team took a moment out of their busy call schedules to celebrate their nomination for their excellent customer focus in the ‘ team of the year’ award.

As the domestic building sector has risen in response to the upturn in the economic climate, our inspectors have been in demand even more this year  - completing no less than 15,000 inspections to domestic home owners (attracting a fantastic 98% satisfaction rate from customers).

The 16 strong team of site inspectors and plan assessors are to be found working outside in all weathers, in confined spaces and often confronting shocking dangerous workmanship by cowboy builders. The team not only deliver a valuable service by efficiently approving new and refurbished building works but by offering much sought after advice to homeowners in a bid to prevent the worst effects of shoddy building work .

Competition in the Chamberlains as always has been very keen this year and although our team did not reach the final on this occasion – our colleagues are winners in our customers eyes. One homeowner recently described  the team as; “excellent, efficient, friendly and helpful, very impressed!”

Head of the Acivico Building Consultancy Service Richard Culliford commended his teams nomination; ‘It’s fantastic news that this team has been nominated for a Chamberlain Award, its acknowledgement and recognition of the commitment and dedication that the team shows every day to deliver a first class customer focussed service to their clients and to the citizens of Birmingham. I am sure every one of them, as is all of Acivico, very proud of this team nomination, it’s a great achievement.’
