Acivico lights the way for Finnish Santa’s visit to Birmingham!

Friday 2nd December, Meet and Greet at the Christmas Markets from 3.15pm

The Finnish Santa Claus is coming to Birmingham all the way from Lapland on Friday 2nd December as part of his UK tour.

In a trip organised by the Embassy of Finland, he will be traveling to the UK from his hometown of Rovaniemi on the arctic circle in the Finnish Lapland. First stop will be Birmingham Children's Hospital then on to the Council House to meet the Lord Mayor and greet visitors to the city centre from the balcony.

Of course when Acivico were invited to take part in this exciting visit from the man himself, we couldn’t miss the opportunity to get involved and be part of the welcoming committee. We lit up the Lord Mayors balcony in sparkly lights to celebrate the arrival of this special person.

Acivico Senior Mechanical and Electrical engineer Paul Dunn who managed the installation says; “It’s a privilidge to be part of the team making Finnish Santa feel welcome in our city. I am looking forward to meeting him in person immensely and we at Acivico are very proud to support Santa in his bid to raise funds for our Children's hospital.

"He is a very busy man at this time of year and works all hours, if he needs any lights on his sleigh I am sure we can turn our hand to that task too. All in a day's work for Acivico, we serve the needs of a wide range of customers”.

Come and meet Santa and have a picture taken!

Santa will be taking a stroll around the Christmas craft market on Centenary square at 3.15 then at the Frankfurt Christmas market, Victoria square and New street at 4.15pm.

Visitors are invited to stop by and say hello, take a picture with him and receive a hand signed Christmas card.

All money raised during the day will be presented to a representative of the Children’s Hospital at the end of his visit.
