Cost Management

Introduction

Managing costs to provide independent and impartial advice that can be trusted is an essential principle for all organisations when planning and undertaking capital projects or programmes. Our QS team manage construction costs, from initial feasibility to final account, to ensure best value for our clients. Having worked on a variety of projects such as the Eastside City Park, Millennium Point Car Park and the grandstand at Alexander Stadium, we have developed an in-depth understanding of our client's business goals by empowering their business decisions with our depth of construction knowledge, making our cost management approach an important part in project delivery.

What Acivico Offer

Acivico utilises its experience and resources to achieve the best results from the client’s investment, thereby ensuring that the design is within budget by offering important cost control measures in planning and engineering, strategic sourcing and procurement.

Our team of highly qualified QSs also have ample experience in contract administration, dispute resolution, cost auditing as well as the closure of final accounts.

As managing agent for Birmingham City Council's Construction Framework known as the Constructing West Midlands (CWM) we manage and also measure cost and risk performance against Key Performance Indicators at the outset of a project, providing incentives for contractors to achieve budget pressures and complete on time. Every opportunity for improvement is also identified in monthly progress meetings where any additional costs that arise from variations/compensation events can be negotiated and agreed, which means a continuous control of costs throughout a project.
