Acivico Approved Inspectors (AAI)

Acivico Approved Inspectors - Statement

Due to issues in the insurance market Acivico are currently unable to provide our approved inspector service.  All our other building control services continue as normal and are not affected.

Acivico Approved Inspectors (AAI) is required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance to operate as an approved inspector in providing its building regulation service.  The insurance scheme for Approved Inspectors is set out by the Ministry for Housing and Local Government.

Recently, our current insurance provider withdrew from the market and is not offering any company new terms.  This required us to approach the only remaining provider of insurance and although we have a zero claims history and have recently renewed our operating license for a further five years until 2024, we have been refused new insurance terms.

Acivico Approved Inspectors recognises the impact this will have on our customers and we would like to sincerely apologise for these circumstances and assure you we did everything possible to avoid this situation when we became aware of the issues.

Although Acivico Approved Inspectors are experiencing issues due to circumstances which are beyond our direct control, we are still committed to meeting the obligations imposed upon us as Corporate Approved Inspectors.  A requirement of registration by CICAIR is that we agree to abide by the Code of Conduct for Approved Inspectors and any subsequent amendments.  If you wish to contact us to discuss any concerns, please use the details provided below.
